Foreclosure Judgment

The court enters a judgment! The judgment may either permit or dismiss the action of foreclosure. If the court decides in favorer of foreclosure, they will order either strict foreclosure or foreclosure by sale. With a strict foreclosure the judgment will set a law day after which you will lose your rights in the property. In the foreclosure by sale you will lose your rights after the sale date.

If there is a good chance you will be able to sell or refinance your home the judge may be willing to set a longer law day or sale date.

You do not lose your rights to the property by judgment alone; you lose your rights on the Law Day or the Confirmed Sale of the Property!
