i need help please if possible My wife and I called our current mortgage company for a possible loan modification and or help we are currently behind one month and failing fast due to loss of income because of the economy we were told that because we are in a fha loan that we do not qualify for a loan modification. nor would they assists us in possibly letting us put the month or so we are behind to the back end of the loan basically they didn't give us any options at all. What can I do before I lose my home.The mortgage company is countrywide. Thanks in advance

We have been trying to get a lower interest rate and lower monthly payment.Our Mortgage company will not work with us , they said we do not qualify for their hardship program. when we refinanced with them we went from a 6% interest rate and $800 a month mortgage to an 11.34 interest rate an $1389 mortgage. We are on a fixed income and cannot continue to pay this mortgage. We tried refinance paid for apprasial and the apprasisl did not go through so that was $350 we were out of.We recently tried refinance again and this co. said we needed to bring up our credit score, and gave us someone to contact and we did so he said they were up, but we haven't heard anything from them since. We just don't know where else to go, we don't have money to throw away like that, so we don't know who to trust anymore.All we want is a lower interest rate and lower monthly payment. Our mortgage co. said that rate would only be for one year and when we went back to get it lowered they could not do it.
