My home is in forclosure. My mortgage company send out a FHA state certified appraiser who appraised my water front property at least 40,000 under what it should be. Iam a real estate agent with all the comps. and have lived and worked in this area for 20 years. He appraised the home (16 yrs old) with comps of homes 48 -58 yrs old on canals with little or no water in summer. The mortgage company will not answer any calls back from the listing agent, myself, lawyers and even Hope. Sale of home is on March 5th. Have a buyer for home, 15,000 less than owed but they will not deal. I have done everything I can, can someone help me.I don't make enough to pay the orginal payment.

I worked in loans for years and it is not uncommon to get second or even third appraises out to the home. I suggest you or your bank pay for another valuation to the home. This really should not be an issue.

I just had my home appraised. It came in $35,0000 less than 2 years ago. The appraiser didn't measure my house right when I called him on it he came back out and re-measured. Did admit he was in error but wouldn't give me a total square foot price correction. said that all the square footage in house appraises the same??
He's nuts!! But after $300.00 up front cost the bank said that can't refinance due to loan to value. When I asked about just REFORMING my rate which that's all I wanted anyways due to it adjusting they don't do that?? Why can banks/mortgages chose to help reform? what's the penalty if they don't help people... Nothing!!!
